Account-to-account payments in a few taps

A contactless payment application built in Flutter, where a transfer is keyed on a single payment ID rather than on account details typed in full.

01 — The challenge

Where it started.

The client wanted payments that settle in seconds — person to person, account to account — without the setup that usually stands between a new user and their first transaction.

The launch date was fixed, which ruled out building the same application twice for two platforms.

02 — What we built

The work itself.

Flutter, for one build. A single codebase across both platforms, chosen because the launch window did not allow for two.

A payment ID instead of account details. Transfers addressed by one identifier, so a payment does not begin with a form.

One-click, after the first time. Account setup done once rather than at every transaction, which is where this kind of app usually loses people.

Points and cashback in the same flow. Rewards handled inside the payment path rather than bolted on as a separate scheme.

03 — Results

What the client has now.

Transfers completed between phone numbers and between accounts without separate setup. The account-creation step that usually blocks a first payment removed from checkout. Repeat use encouraged through loyalty points and cashback carried in the app itself.
